Nassau Health Care CorporationNassau University Medical Center is Long Island’s only standalone safety net hospital. Their frontline workers provided exceptional health care services to the community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, but ultimately experienced fatigue and burnout in line with the rest of the medical community. We were asked to create a logo that would support their workers and demonstrate the administration’s pride in their unwavering dedication to the profession.
The Logo
We created a unique employee engagement logo to help the hospital boost morale during the pandemic, when employees were fatigued and experiencing burnout. The NUMC’s Lionhearted logo incorporates the lion from Nassau County’s logo, as the County directly oversees the facility’s operation. It also incorporates elements like the stethoscope to convey their staff’s fearless dedication to their craft.
Color Palette
The logo incorporates NuHealth’s signature light blues, offsetting them with a deep navy fit for the medical environment. The pop of red is energizing and draws attention to the heart, representing the courage of their staff.
