project overview
United SullivanSullivan County, NY participated in the National Institute of Health’s HEALing Communities Study as a Wave 2 Rural Communities. Niki Jones Agency, Inc. designed and developed a website dedicated to education about overdose prevention and the distribution of naloxone. The site provides intuitive access and actionable steps to access Narcan training, helps individuals find Naloxbox locations and learn about MOUD/MAT resources, and provides access to treatment centers.
Brief of
Design Journey
United Sullivan requested an empathetic, optimistic, and compassionate design approach. The site’s primary color is purple, the color of recovery. We carefully selected photos of people from all backgrounds connecting with their loved ones joyfully, reminding visitors that recovery is possible and worth pursuing.

ICONS
We created a suite of custom icons to help people navigate to key resources throughout the site, including Naloxbox locations, the Unite Us self-referral platform, and the Recovery Resource guide. In addition, we created a celebratory icon to promote the positive statistic that 75% of people succeed in achieving their recovery.
Mobile design
Connecting people to recovery resources was an essential aspect of this project. We created simple, easy to use and tab through tiles that kept resources streamlined and easy to access via cell phone.
